A creative approach to the subject matter. A funny story line with conflict, humorous attempt to solve the problem and a twist at the end with hubby afraid to fall asleep now.

Thank you for reviewing my poem. Snoring can be very irritating. My mom and dad both snored and so did my husband. If I snore it is very light. If I happen to make a loud noise, it always makes me wake up.

This was very cute! Hubby always gives me a head start on falling a sleep probably for this reason. But I found sleep strips help to breathe through the nose instead of the mouth as the latter causes the snoring.
Enjoyed your humorous entry for this contest! Hope this does well!

Thank you Helen. Loud snoring can make someone trying to sleep nearly. A feel years ago on the news a man killed his roommate or cellmate because of his snoring. Evan used breathing strips and it do stop the snoring but we gone to separate room before they came out. I kept him awake tossing and turning. LOL This was all in fun.

That is so funny, Beth! You so spelt portrayed, in a humorous way, of course, the frustration of having a spouse that snores away.
Too cute that she stuffed her ear plugs up his nose! Well, at least he got help, lol.
Best of luck in the contest,
Rhonda

Hahahahaha. I had an uncle that snored so loud you could hear him downstairs from the upstairs bedroom. I don't know how my aunt put up with it. I don't blame this guy. If she rammed the earpieces up his nose, no telling what's next.

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you got a laugh. I guess when I was younger I used to be able to beat the snorers to sleep. My mom and dad both snored. I don't think I could handle it now. I have trouble staying asleep like it is.

I know what you mean. Some nights, I don't sleep at all.

Snoring drives me absolutely bananas! It would suck but for the sake of peace, I would have a separate room, but that's just me. LOL if that was you, I can commiserate. This is a very well written poem. I like the rhymes game. You have the blue backdrop, and the dark letters make it easy to read. And you got a cool picture too I would think that if I had to deal with snoring every night I would be bald within days! Very well done, it wasn't enjoyable, read, it's funny but not funny. Thank you again, have a great evening!

Thank you Lea, My late husband snored and it drove me crazy but we did go to separate room. He wore nose strips and it wasn't nearly as bad. I wrote this to be to a humorous post.

Yes, it's funny, certainly, and not so funny either, but not so funny, and the moment when you're being kept awake,.funny when you look back on it. That's probably not wake themselves up. That's what I don't get LOL.
I'm truly sorry for the loss of your husband I too lost mine as well when my sons were six and two. I empathize with you on this and hope you are doing well today!

Thank you for the review. I see you commented more on the shape of your your review than you did my poem. That must mean you don't want to talk about snoring. LOL

Snoring between mom and I passed two years ago when I was deported, by surgery, to the living room sofa.

Ha ha! Great fun! Lovely flow with assured rhyme and great story of temptation on the part of Susie! Small edit: married (3rd stanza). Excellent, Beth, and very worthy contender. Good luck! Debbie

What a great entry in this contest Beth, you've certainly sorted out this great, lyrical post. The meter is great, just one glitch, marital joys, easy fixed with the two syllables, married joys, this is a near perfect entry in this contest, beautifully written, blessings Roy

I do understand. My husband has a huge snoring problem. After years of not sleeping, I finally made him go to a doctor. He now has a CPAC and I am sleeping much better. Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. Good luck with the contest.

Thank you Barbara. My husband finally started using nasal strips which worked well but by time we were sleeping in separate bedrooms.
