Another strong chapter, Barbara. I am already very curious about those five boys...and the girls. :-) Lily
Some small things:
Seth watched her sitting on a bench through the backdoor window. God, give me the words ease to her pain. (words to ease her pain)
Just before dinner, Seth offered Emma his hand. "Let's take the dogs out." Outside he asked, "You okay with every (everything?) happening tomorrow?"

I'm so glad Emma has Seth's support through this loss. I remember making my way through it and it was a very difficult time. Just picked up a couple of spag issues - "I haven't asked how's your gunshot wound's healing" and "God, give me the words ease to her pain." I hope things will resolve well for Seth and Emma.

Hello Barbara,
this was well written and the dialogue is believable. I am having trouble remembering, is it the fact that her dad died that is making Emma unable to eat? If she doesn't get something soon, she's going to be dealing with an entirely different set of problems. It appears that Seth and Emma are both struggling with the need to advance their relationship physically. Perhaps marriage won't be too far in the future, although they really haven't known each other that long. Well done gal.
Have a blessed day.

Yes, Emma is struggling with her loss and isn't eating. Thank you for the kind review.

This is a good chapter to show the depths of their grief. If Emma doesn't eat soon, she is going to need hospitalization. Seth is very good at doing all the right things, but the sick teens are a puzzle. You have one word reversal: . . .the words ease to her pain.

I think I need to go back and fill in gaps but I have myself trying to complete too many long things, myself.
I truly enjoy your descriptions and dialogues. As I read, I feel like I could imagine it all. Very well written as always. I enjoyed reviewing this Chapter.
Thank you for sharing this and best wishes,
Alexandra :) x

Seth is so warm and comforting and always there to be practical and helpful too. He is there to help guide Emma in her hour of need and I enjoyed this chapter Barbara and it is sad that this book is coming to an end, love Dolly x x x

Hi Barbara, this is another great chapter. Emma's grief and pain and well described. I can certainly identify with her not being able to eat. I'm sure, though, that Seth will see her through. You've almost finished your next.book. wow! Hugs, Ulla xxx

Everything looks good to me. Seth, the pastor and even Ace are all there to help Emma through her pain and loss. They will check in on her every day.
This chapter moved well and was in keeping with the general theme. There was even a small prayer that reenforces the title.

This story is continuing a satisfying arc and I am well pleased with its progress. The anxiety Emma is displaying toward eating may be confusing to some, but it is completely understandable as people react in different ways to the trauma of losing someone near and dear to them. I also like how you introduce new drama into the story discreetly.
