I think Sami is just starting to get a handle on her thoughts and feelings concerning Noah, at least he's showing consistency and integrity in his maleness, which most women can live with men, I think women need to feel safe with their men, beautifully written, blessings Roy

I was a bit distracted by that delicious looking muffin but then enjoyed another excellent read. An awkward encounter with Baldwin and some practicalities in the grocery department before Noah questions Sami about her exercise regime which is pretty impressive. Life in the safe house is being managed while the criminal investigation continues with all the necessary caution.
Suggestion: His eyes started at her feet and ended (with?) his meeting hers.
And in your notes: I couldn't (find?) what I wanted..
Well done! I like the introduction of a more senior member of staff to emphasise the seriousness of the case.

I envy you. You always manage to post an interesting new chapter tht furthers the action and leaves me wanting for more. I still have to do my fourth chapter. I keep letting other "projects" get in the way. Maybe this week, after my daughter leaves.

Hi Barbara, It's well written and I do like the story, but there's something about Sami that doesn't sits well with me. She comes across far too timid. It's a bit unnatural. Also try to use the 'widening of the eyes' a bit less often. Just a suggestion. All best, Ulla xx

Great development between the two lead characters. The boss seemed like a pencil-pusher so if that was what you were going for, you nailed it.

She hesitated, before she continued, "I'll figure out."
(Missing a word)
He glanced at Jasper. "Let's take out that dog."
(Seems out of order, like he wants to eliminate ate the dog. Ha! )

Like Noah, I am impressed with Sami's workout routine. In my 80s I am not active at all, even though I have been advised to become more so. Easier said than done. I prefer to work mentally more than physically. This story is very pleasing to me and I pray that you will continue at a pace that works for you and away with those who want to pressure you into moving at a faster pace.

I frequently can't find the picture I want or else it's rejected by the site. I think the questioning by Baldwin was totally unnecessary, but it shows what kind of guy he is. Sami and Noah handled it just fine. I don't blame her for wanting and excuse to get out of there. I don't know that you need that much about the jogging, etc. That seems to be something you use frequently. (Maybe I'm just jealous because I can't do it.) The focus belongs on the case at hand. I hadn't heard it called Solitary before. Always Solitaire. Hope you don't mind my including these thoughts. I just think the heroine in each of your books should do things differently. judi

This is good very good. Sami is a very active lady. That is a lot of physical activity. I'll bet you work out too. I try to go to the Y for water arobics three time a week. If you don't stay active you lose you mucles. The interaction between Gavin and his boss was interesting. It doesn't sound like a comfortable working relationship.
