states it quite often, which is a good
thing. No rhythm or rhyme but a certain
continuity to keep us on our toes. Well

The theme of this writing is having a good and loyal friend.
Although there are just vague references to a canine friend, the lines may refer also to human friends.
The poet speaks in the first person and addresses this to readers who are especially dog lovers.
The phrase above the title should read "A Good Friend IS hard to find" or "Good FRIENDS ARE hard to find.
12th line: "All glory still awaits for you." Not sure about this because it feels a little bit awkward. My suggestion is: "All glory still awaits" or "All glory still WAITS for you."

It is a pretty dog that is "man's best friend". A dog stands by you like a true friends should. And that is the phrase that stands for so much.
The third line should be "It means that...
The two longest lines seem confusing or maybe too wordy.
The first long line could be
In you life, if you are free
You'll find what you task shall be
The second long line could be
'gives you confidence that
Your night's rest will be untroubled

Friendship is something special. It might require more sharing, caring and sacrifice than the demands between lovers. I knew someone who said that he would stop a bullet for a friend. A four legged friend is extra special because his fondness is non judgmental. Friendship crops up among unusual people. In the Tale of Two Cities, Dickens writes of a profligate scoundrel who sacrifices his life for a distant friend and his lover. "It is a far better thing that I do, than I have ever done. It is a far better place that I go to rest than I have ever known." And yet so many of us take friendship for granted, or think they can do without it. I think you spend too many words trying to define it. -Ekim777
