Well written, easy to follow, and creates a most important and essential subject for discussion. Your grandson is very fortunate to have a wise and honest friend such as yourself. The world needs to take a step back and view the big picture, everyone is too eager to point fingers these days. Enjoyable

Thank you Joanne - I'm the lucky one to have my little buddy. I like being a grandpa. Regards, Bill

Your story is well-written and presents a good message (maybe two??). We can certainly learn a great deal by talking to kids. I'm glad I came across this one for review.

What an excellent essay, Bill. The innocent curiosity of children always fascinates me - has done, since my own daughter, after making me promise not to laugh, asked, "Mum, is God ticklish?" Of course, I blotted my copy book and laughed. My neice however, had a more difficult experience which yours reminded me about. Driving her son and his mate to school one morning, the extra passenger said, "My Dad's gone to Afgahnistan this morning. If he gets killed, would you like to come to his funeral?" She nearly drove off the road! Nevertheless, I would like to congratulate you on the way you handled your 'difficult question' and I'm sure your grandson will benefit from his Grandad's level headed honesty. BTW, did you work out an answer to his last question? LOL!! Mary xx

Mary - thanks for your kind and generous feedback. Your story of is God ticklish is priceless. I actually started another essay regarding things kids have said to me, but wound up branching off on this particular one. Something to follow up on. Happy New Year to you! Regards, Bill

Unfortunately rascism still is out there. But now there is whole totally different view on rascism and people tend to blow up what can be something else and twist it. Happy new years
