Even though this is the first passage I have read of your story, your words drew me into your story line. I feel sorry for the mother but I am fearful of what Troy's demons will turn out to be. You have researched your work and your well written words were a pleasure to read.

I apparently have given you a six too recently to give you another. This has been a terrific series of postings. The added author notes are great. Perhaps the right person will read and be helped. Some day I'll write the story of the only woman (girl) I hit. I was nine years old, she was 13 and bigger than me. My dad wore my butt out. Warm regards, Bill

Thanks for all the great info in the author's note. The percentage of women abused is so much higher than I would ever have guessed. This is a well written chapter, and as I have said before, I am so glad you are bringing this problem to light! DEbbie

Barbara, this is another very wel penned segment, Richly textured words convey very well, directly or indirectly, emotions felt by both Anna and Troy. I'm happy there's a glimpse of hope for Anna's future. Found no spag errors. Your author notes provide very valuable information which I'm sure will prove to be helpfull for those who may need it. As well written as I have come to expect. Your characters come across well and the dialog sounds realistic and natural. Three cheers for Troy. While I hope this is leading to a happy ending, I hope Bobby gets his comeuppance somewhere along the way.
