This chapter continues to show Anna's low self esteem and fear that abuse has caused her.Abuse is costly on so many levels and you clearly show this in your writing. There is still that bit of suspense as the reader keeps wondering where the relationship between Troy and Anna will end up.
Loking forward to the next chapter.

As usual, this chapter is very well written and makes for a great additional to your story. However, in reading it, I quickly realize that during these past few weeks I have experienced computer problems, I must have missed a chapter or two.

Oh well, this is a great story, anyway. Thanks for sharing it. JW

Nice scene here with first Troy and Anna and then at home with the old folks. I do so love the atmosphere in this household. They're very genuine people.

this is very well written, barbara, a great job writing this chapter of your book about anna, michael and troy, i want to google and find pictures of Indian Blankets so i can view a bigger picture of them.

I went to vacation in USA and I've missed some chapters, but still I found this story so interesting and so well written as always.
I loved all the details about the Indian blanket.

This is a very well written chapter for the ongoing book. It gives me insight to the courage and struggles of women all over the world when abused. My mom was abused by my alcoholic father until he finally joined AA. I praise you for your work in bringing this subject to the forefront. Blessings, Linda

Hi Baraba:)
A great read for the new year. This chapter give a cosy feelig. michael is safe at Troy's parents house and dicovering new thing and acting just like a baby that is ready for the next stage of his life.

Anna still has no self-esteem following her abusive marriage, as she apologizes for every mishap and even suggests that Troy, who is obviously smitten, might not want her around because she feels her carelessness caused Troy's dog bite injury.

I like the grape jucce stain stoty, because it shows how easily accidennts can happen.

Actually this seem like a chapter that is marking time until the car with the noisy muffler shows up again oan Anna begin's to accept Troy's true love.

Now I'm ready for some more action.

Barbara,

I've waited for another chapter to this book, and that's pretty astounding since I'm not into romance. Anna still has a long way to go. So does Michael, but he's got the better attitude.

I enjoyed this read, found nothing in the text but one nit in your author notes:

"It's close to what I want to show the innocents [innocence] of Anna and how spousal abuse has destroyed her self esteem."
