This is a well written chapter. No spags found. And it does a good job of continuing the storyline and holding a reader's interest.
I did have a little laugh at the line: Why are you wasting time bothering a bunch of old people who can't hardly recall what they had for breakfast?"
It sort of reminds me of ... of ... of ... Now what was I talking about? JW :-)

Gosh darn it that picture made me jump- which is rather hilarious cause I am sitting in a hotel lobby:)
And there were no pillows to hide behind either, a few handsome men though:)
Anyway as always this story has me balanced between wanting to know and running far away. I'm a sap so that is probably not common in your readers:) But well penned as always leaving me with heart pounding a bit as my imagination runs wild. I never read your stories at night.....:)
Thanks for sharing it.Skilled as ever my friend.

What a wonderful surprise and joy it was to find a section of yours to get my day started.I can't get enough. I wrote a review a few minutes ago but lost it when I went to spell check. But I got it back and found out why I was loosing all my reviews before sending them. It seems I've been single clicking on spell check and that is eliminating my reviews. Double click knucklehead! An all around great read.No typos I could find.

Hello, Slythytove2. What a gracious and generous review - especially since you had to write it twice! Thank you for making my day special with your encouraging words. I'm always having trouble with this site. Just can't seem to get the hang of things like double clicking LOL. Thanks again and please have a wonderful week. :0) Bev

Seeing a new chapter of your story posted reminded of the re-opening of the case of Nathalie Wood's death under suspicious circumstances in the Los Angeles area 30 years ago. The picture and the "pathetic" fat cat certainly grabbed attention! I especially liked your "flapping wings" description of Frankie's eyelashes (I have a blind poet friend and your analogy is just right) and his quip about "they are all look suspicious" along with his personifying his gun. Cheers- Joan

I've always suspected that Robert Wagner had more to do with her death than he admitted. With so much time gone and no body, it's all pretty much speculation at this point. Sad, because she was a beautiful woman who deserved better.
Thanks so much for your awesome review, Joan. Thanks, also, for letting me know what you liked, especially. That's always helpful and I appreciate it.
Hugs, Bev

You're right--I wonder how much so-called evidence has been saved and how valid recollections will be as all these years.
Once again, it was my pleasure to read and review your work. The only difficulty is limiting myself to highlights--there is so much to like! More hugs- Joan

A very good story which was well formatted and well written and presented. The body was also well rounded and has a strong extension to the narrative. Well done. Kind regards.

I havent read any of the previous chapters yet but the story seems interesting enough. It reads easy and flows nicely and is easy to follow. Nicely done!

Cool cats, I've got my fix for the week. I'm very much into mystery lately. :) Was just wondering where this book of mine had got to. lol. I really enjoyed the interview with Frankie. Typical sloppy old man and fat detective. I thought your description of Skeets hiding his fat tummy was priceless.
A cat that's too fat to climb a fence is plain pathetic. (Oh, wow this had me in stitches. The visual is just too cool!)
Thanks for making my day. luv jada

Hiya, Jada. This is such an awesome review. I just love getting your insights into my little mystery. I'll tell you a secret - that cat is based on my own sister's cat. He's 16+ lbs. and I observed him one time straining just to climb up a fence. They can't put him on a diet because he'll eat the dog's food if he doesn't get enough of his own. It made quite an impression on me LOL.
Thanks so much for your gracious words and very generous rating, my friend. Love ya, Bev

Good to read another chapter of your story, Bev. I wish I could snatch your whole story into my hands and whisk it away to a quiet little corner where I could read it from cover to cover. This is an interesting story that I would not put down if it were in paperback form :) Give me more, and quickly LOL!!!
