Hi, Bev.
This is another awesome chapter! Wow, the way you write keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. You have shown excellent visuals, excellent dialogue and built the tension with each sentence. I felt Jana's pain having to reveal Rick as the mole, a decision so difficult to share.

The section with Rick is excellent. I could see him struggling with Danika, his deliberation to leave her and carry on as his pain increased. The last line is such a cliff hanger. I can't wait to read what happens next.

Fabulous write my friend!!
Bye
Hugs
Rosalyne :)

Dear Rosalyne. Thank you, once again, for an amazing review. I so appreciate your words of encouragement and your generosity, my friend. I don't want to let down the folks who've so faithfully followed my story, so I'm trying to come up with the best conclusion I can. Thanks for letting me know what worked for you -- so helpful!

    Hi, Bev.
Your story is a winner all the way!!! You have done a superb job creating a fascinating plot with amazing characters and dialogue. What really stands out beyond the excitement and tension is the cultural practices and traditions. This is so fresh and different from other suspense novels I've read. I have learned so much about the Sioux people, the culture, traditions and language. This in itself has made for an awesome read among the many layers in your story.
I can't wait for the next chapter.
    Bye, my friend!
    Hugs
    Rosalyne :)

Well written and entertaining from start to finish with enough going on to keep a reader who tunes in for a chapter here and there to feel right in the mix. Great job. :-)

black-clad figure clutching a worn, leather valise who slipped from where he hid in the mine's dark interior. (Not good!!!!!)

You already know I like your novel. This is another good addition. Good job of writing.

I had to ponder the exorcist's quote--a creative way to re-absorb us in the story! Your "fly" and "ripe melon" analogies were vivid and effective. Revealing Rick's thoughts in italics worked well to move the storyline forward. Once again, you left the reader in great suspense. Well done! -Joan

I've been away from this story for awhile and will try to go back over the previous chapters to catch up. I may not comment on all of them, but will hopefully be able to pick up where I left off. You've got a great story going. Can't wait to see what happens next.

loved the ending where you left on a note of mystery.
Kept my interest all along with your sell structured dialogue and your ability to engage the reader's emotions.

Here we go again - you sure know how to keep your reader dangling. I wish I was reading this book all at once, though. (I will when it's published!)

Fabulous chapter, yet again - so authentic, I swear. I see not a comma out of place, but then, that's not surprising.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Another great post, dear Bev. This story gets my tummy butterflies all stirred up.

I sense we're drawing to a close. You're bringing this to climax with perfect speed and great skill.

Comments, and a couple of other wee things:

"This location is only accessible by foot?(") - insert quote

"That's about as likely as keeping flies off horse shit," - excellent!!

Skeets persisted(.)

(")Yes. He was last seen heading in a westerly direction.

"Derek, I..." (H)e heard an escaped sob.

Rick heard it as if from a spot in space, far above any human meaning. - love this. Adds so much depth to the moment.

Exhaustion, then sleep, claimed Rick, rendering him unaware of the black-clad figure clutching a worn, leather valise who slipped from where he hid in the mine's dark interior. - Oh my god. Way to finish!

Superb stuff, my friend.

Love Av
x
