You said a mouthful, dear Brett. I am intrigued at the image you used. It is far from the stereotypical picture we would have in our mind of someone being unfaithful. That is what intrigues...Women and men of all appearances and age are longing for love and companionship. A lesson learned the hard way; having done to him what he was doing to her.
Meter might better be served like this:
Till you can no longer tell wrong from right
Great rhyming aabb pattern.

Women need love, of that there's no doubt,
You needed a shove, to help figure it out.
Now it's to late and your marriage is done,
It takes one to know one and nobody won.
You are a very understanding guy Brett.
Sorry for your loss. :<) Nancy

I wasn't. She needed to go. After 20 years of marriage. Then I wised up and married the right women 15 years ago. Funny how life weaves its way around us. Appreciate your comments and support indeed.

Yep, sometimes the cheater is also cheated on. Your poem is in great form - rhyme and rhythm. I like the repetition in the last stanza.

Well, human being are complicated creatures. Sometimes I think our ability for endless love can cloud our judgment. You're correct, right and wrong are not so easy to define in matters of the heart. Well written.

This is so honest and very nicely done.
Flows easy from one part to the next making it interesting to get to the end to see how you put it all together.
Good one
