Wonderful use of the phrase "A bridge that just won't burn." Won't these guys ever learn? They keep picking the wrong gal, and are all worked up when she's unfaithful. Could it be something the guy's done? Sounds like he's trying to get past it and forget, but isn't able to. Excellent rhyme and wording for the country mode, and the feeling really comes across. judi

I love the idea of a bridge that won't burn. It pictures well how hard it can be to let go of a lost love. Same with the page that won't turn. Nice job. I like it. :)

Nice artwork to compliment this poem. Nice lyrics, flow and rhyme. Sometimes, it is hard to burn those bridges for good!

Nice lyrics and rhyme flow for this country song but shouldn't there be a chorus?
Perfect subject matter for country western. Love, Leaving. Cheating. Gittin' over you.
Nice picture you chose to compliment it, too. I am very familiar with Sue's work on Fan Art.

Awesome lyrics telling of the heartache a certain woman cause, she promised to leave the other man but she is still with him. Do you ever mean anything to her, you wonder. She seem to be a heartbreaker where ever she goes. The bridge you would like to burn dont want to burn, maybe there is still a chance she might come back.

Many love affairs end this way, with the wounded party not being able to get the lost one out of their mind. Well chosen words and good use of rhyming. Faye
