Without question a six. There is too much 'noise' going on in the world, as id people are afraid of the silence. i am trying to write about that, and the Bible verse...'Be still and know that I am God'... pops into my brain.
I love everything about this, and wish I was talented enough to reach depths like this.
Your picture is vague and perfect for the poem about being quiet and using your senses , feeling how you breathe, what you are, what you want to be...
Just wonderful! You need to put this by mine on your wall! It's awesome. It is being bookmarked and put on my office wall. Thank you:)
Love ,
Tina

Oh, you are wonderful, Tina!! :) Thank you for those lovely stars and, more importantly, for this thoughtful and encouraging review!! :) :) And you are so right, as I said in my author notes, youth today really are 'afraid of the stillness' -- it's like if there's not some kind of cranial stimulation, they may just go crazy! ;) ;) You take care this week, ma'am, and have a great week! :) ;) Yvette

Us grown-ups can
be that way at times
too, when we get going
and have a million things
to do, we forget how
restful a few minutes
of silence is.! My
husband and I stopped
TV in our house and
we noticedhow much
happier we are, like
contented. I think the
noise and commercials
of the TV stress us out :-)
We watch Pureflix or
Pluto tv, so no cable fees!
Blessings on your day...
and week!
Love,
Tina

Well done Yvette, you are so right concerning these things, just to sit in the presence of nothingness, I don't believe we actually do sit in nothingness, but in the presence of cal,, as you say my friend. And excellent entry in this contest, well done, blessings Roy

This great trio of 3-6-9 should be required reading in every English class!
Once a teacher myself, I've had the change to make the same observation as you.
These are perfectly constructed 3-6-9s. How you traversed from stanza to stanza is is both logical and beautiful at the same time. This is one for my bookcase to read when needed to be reminded of its sage advise. Best wishes in the contest!
Sincerely,
Luv&stuff

A very well-written 3-6-9 suite and good advice to find ourselves in an over technological world where there are too much electronics and distractions that keep the mind busy with unnecessary things.

Hello YM - three very well written three stanzas, all in true form. Each gives good advice and I particularly like your sub-title 'You can't be anything until you know who you are...'. The whole of this work gives good advice in pure poetic form. Good Luck in the contest. Warm regards Dorothy x

You have made excellent use of all syllables and lines in this lovely
poem about the power of silence. Just being quiet and still can enhance
self-realization.

Meditation does certainly calm us back to our true being Our minds are the only place where each of us can calmly exist in a tumultuous world . This is a very nice entry for the contest, I wish you luck. Thanks for the health tip.

Good luck in the contest Yvette. This was very well done, easy to read, easy to understand. It said a lot but made total sense. I liked the way you broke it down to three of the senses of touch, taste and smell. It was great.

Thanx so much for stopping in on this one, Ali -- I always appreciate your input on these poetry writes. This one was the teacher on her front porch at the end of last week trying to tell herself that there's only three weeks plus exams remaining... :) :) LOL! :) Take care! :) Yvette
