I get the impression that just about anything would arouse his/her crave for coffee. It doesn't seem natural. Maybe room temperature root beer, or coconut, or pineapple, or anything more native to the atmosphere described.

Thanks, Wayne ..our our Carolina coast often a cup of java wamrs the body after a jaunt along the sea.

I'm sure it would. It would me, as well. I just didn't see coffee as fitting the atmosphere. I was looking for something more natural to the setting.
