This writing does cause me to wonder. Words are very important, but so are deeds. Good ones, that is. They aren't being passed along either. Good thought provoking writing.

How true! So many things are forgotten in the passage of time because no one bother to pick up a pen. Recording life experience is a wonderful way to remember the ones we love. And never to forget the lessons they learned.

This is a very interesting question deepwater! Will this generation pass the secrets of our forefathers foreword to be carried over to their sons? Sorry! But I don't think so. "Time is money" this is the main message that we heard every day y and every where...
GREAT JOB!!

A great poem. This is one that will stick in my mind as it really makes you think about things. An interesting structure too! Good work.

A good poem about oral tradition that has been lost in the First World today. It still exists in tribal cultures, thank God. I do think oral tradition will stay alive, though obviously your questions are rhetorical. It is the way the illiterate (and I mean that in the non-pejorative sense of the term) cultures survive and we need those stories to remind us of eternal truths. Good poem.

Not sure... if it's unwritten in English,
(or, for that matter, any other language)
well, chances are that no one will be able
to read it.
I think the word "forword" is spelled
incorrectly in your poem.

I liked your questioning poem which speaks of the unwritten word being passed on to future generations. Many moons ago, there was no written word until cuniform came into being and we are now able to unravel the past writings of our ancestors. One would hope that the stories and histories will pass through the generations - so important for the young ones to know; well done.

Hullo Deepwater ....

What you have written here is really very good because, although in the lives of some people, family history and stories are written to be passed on, no doubt for the vast majority, it is what is told verbally that should be remembered and repeated to the next generation.
There is just one correction needed ...

* You have - forword ... and this should be - forward ...

Thank you for sharing this with us. I enjoyed it.
With love from ..... Nanette Mary.
