Really great, Barbara. The reader is looking forward to Peggy getting her due, and it seems that's about to happen. Anna's lucky to have such excellent defenders. I thought the chapter read smoothly without unneeded distractions, and the dialogue and actions were realistic. We see at the end that Anna is still worried about what mischief her ex-husband might be up to. judi

The underhand things that Peggy Rodgers is guilty of are despicable. Using everything at her disposal to have Anna declared an unfit mother.
The thing about these situations is that even when the accusations are hollow, the strain of defending yourself against them can be the straw that breaks the back.
Pulls at the heart strings.
Great chapter..

I have just finished reading up to this point on your book barbara, and it is very impressive what you have written. Beleivable and well developed characters and plot, I cannot suggest anything for improvment, an excellent job, keep writing!! :)

Very dramatic turn of events. It sounds as if Anna feels that this is not the end. Well written and an interesting read.
just threaten to so Anna would appear as an unfit mother.
-Perhaps `just threaten so Anna...

Court-room cases are so distressing.
You carried this one off so well, Barbara.
Poor Anna is a bag of nerves, which is
understandable.

This is so good: the toddler has been vaccinated for hepatitis and this way Troy could in no way have been a threat to the kid. Then even better they prove that the mother staged the kidnap as we thought all along that she might be involved. So Anna is free and she goes to jail.
Anna does not feel safe and might never feel safe again I fear.

Barbara, you've done a great job with this. Anna is right. When Bobby gets out of prison, her life is over. The laws don't protect you from those who don't care about obeying them. An excelent write. :) Nancy
