Nice imagery! Sweet blue rose indeed. Tiny hint...I would lose the initial cap on the last line or use all initial caps, i.e., Kiss would look nice. I really like how his poem makes me feel. Thanks!

This flower sounds lonely and so in need of a humming bird visit. You meet the syllable count and you do so eloquently. This is a beautiful presentation topped off by a gorgeous rose. Good luck in the contest.

I really do think its time FS called a moratorium on Haiku contests. There have been far too many of these lately. I see there have been changes so, even if it is of no interest to you I feel it encumbent upon me to revisit the review and bring it up to date. Never mind, lets put this one to the test:
1. Syllable Count - check
2. Grammatical sentence covering first two lines with two separate ideas - check The two ideas are now expressed as a single grammatical sentence.
3. Satori line bringing the two ideas together - It does now and with a touch of humour.
4. Nature element - check
5. Kigo word establishin season - check
Total 5 out of 5. Still pleasant and now it is a true haiku complying with the definitive elements. Hence upgraded to 5 stars.
This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

Thats fine. You go your way I'll go mine. There is nothing personal in this I assure you; there couldn't be I don't know who you are. Status on this site is achieved by the number of good reviews a poem gets. No account is taken of the knowledge of the reviewers. The higher you buy in the more good reviews you will get, quality doesn't really enter into it. That's the name of the game. As long as we realise it is a game then there is no need for anyone to take umbrage or pay attention to ratings or stus, There are people on the site who have qualifications and knowledge. The trick is, if you want to learn, is to identify them.
