There has been so much study of how to sell, and subliminal imaging, and mind control, I wonder if the jury system is working anymore. The OJ case, for instance...I digress...excellent antonym poem...

Just because someone proclaims to be innocent, it doesn't mean they are. The jury can be right. Let's hope they are not wrong. For it is horrible to send and innocent person to jail.
Good luck and keep writing

This is hilarious, and follows the contest prompt. I love the picture you chose, it fits perfectly. You never know what the jury might be thinking.. Lol. Best of luck in the contest.

I love it. This poem is very well-written, and the picture is amazing. I'm still trying to figure out what movie it's from.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and God bless.

Mike, thanks for the kind words and generous rating! It appears that it is an actual trial photo, as the royalty-free site it came from states that all persons depicted are no longer living and that there are no estates prohibiting its use.

I'd be worried too if I was innocent and could only see guilty signs in the juries eyes! This is a really good antonym poem, and you have the guilty and innocent words perfect for the two internal lines. Well done and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

Good afternoon,
I like your idea of using a cliche as the basis for the poem, along with a classic period photograph to add credibility to the poem's premis. - Lobber

In my opinion, clever and humorous in its succinct and striking presentation - definitely a fun poem that doe not require more verse to define its message - fully compliant with the prompt - best of luck in the contest with this little gem...

Good job with this form. And surely the prosecutor and defender watch closely the eyes of the jury. So far, I've never served, but don't think they'd choose me anyway as on some things, I have a strong opinion.
Nice poem.

Would you say this is a "hung jury"? Or, is a jury that should be hung? You have a good choice of antonyms, good rhyme with a humorous statement as well. Good luck in the contest.
