I really enjoyed this poem. I think the nonet is a difficult style, but you successfully painted a clear picture. My take away is a passive but strong giant. Thank you for sharing this one. I wish you luck in the contest.

A well written piece. It is a shame these creatures have been hunted and killed to near extinction. I wonder how the human race can somehow seem to have so little compassion with our fellow creatures.
