Hello unknown author of I Turn the calendar, buckled in, and enjoyed your 3-5-3
Another Decade. I'm getting ready to Turn the page, of 8 decade that has passed and waiting for another decade to enjoy
Best to you in the contest.

This is a terrific entry, and probably the onr yo beat. So now I'll collect my 1.04 member dollars, and reserve a spot to help finance my entry fee. :o)

MERRY CHRISTMAS POET: I like this posting in that although it is brief, it is clear and to the point. Time waits for no one. God gives us, His people, 24 hours a day.
He gave us all every minute of the passed decade. YES. Let us turn the page. Let us start a new in the name of, Jesus Christ. Through Him...for us...the best is yet to come. We are living on the promises of our God. Therefore we can all have favorable expectations. God bless you, poet. Cordially: rhonnie69.

It just flew! It seems like only yesterday when it was 2010. You get busy and before you know it your much older and you haven't achieved what you set out to do. But then on reflection, if you are loved and loving, what does it matter. Thanks for reminding us of the fleeting moments we need to use.

Time is so non-linear at times! We have fleeting moments of pause and we seem to suddenly be on a human conveyer belt running at high speed. I?m going to end the next ten and the sand in my hour glass continues to become exhausted....

What a wonderful 353 poem! Every new year feels like a promise to something different, better, and happier. And now a new decade! This little poem is so simple and basic and yet says so much. Start anew!I think this is written so well for this time of year, and the calendar page is a perfect illustration of what is to come. Very good poem. We will see what 2020 brings, I hope all good things for our country. Thanks for sharing this. Good luck in the contest.

LOL!! There's been a 'debate' on social media whether the decade starts in '20 or '21 (because folks have nothing better to do, don't cha know?!)... either way, this is a great offering for the contest! ;) Good luck! ;) Yvette

Hi Yvette, as if we did have enough on social media already...Based on prior history the Decade begins 2011 and really ends 2020, but I prefer the rounding- Since i was born in 50 I learned to tens count easier LOL

Hello Anon Writer
This is very good and I think you expressed yourself well in a very small form, which is always difficult.
I doubt if I will be the only one to comment, but I think that the next decade begins at the end of 2020 (so its 1991-2000 / 2001 - 2010 / 2011 - 2020 etc). This is a petty point and should not be seen as a criticism of your work in this form.
I wish you well with this and your continued writing.
cheers

I hadn't thought of that. Next year being a new decade. A fresh start, and at 65, that sounds good! What will ten years bring? Heaven, for me? Or more life on this earth? See you in 10 years (wink) Darlene
