This poem is very cool and it was one of my favorites. If you knew one of the ones who defends our country then I salute them sire

The title definitely was well picked. It is an attention grabber.
The words flowed across the page with passion and truth.
Visions flooded painting pictures of what was written
The words used projected emotion and description.

Your poem will touch many this November, both veterans and the loved ones of those who didn't make it home.
It is a good read and obviously heartfelt and should make all question the choice of war.
I wonder if the 2nd word of the 2nd line might read better as 'that' instead of 'for'. Just a thought!
Well done.

deepwater..... I think this is a great poem and very appropriate for Veteran's Day tomorrow, to honor all of those who fought for our freedom and especially to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. It is heartfelt and your emotions are apparent. Thank you for sharing it with us.

You have written this from your heart and it rings true to me, I thank you for this powerful and well done eyeopening poem, Wow, I can only give a virtual six for this, dang it I have spent them all for this week :0( and by the way you look like my Dad up on his tractor, but I am sure he is much older then you are now. excuse me when I say screw the grammar and keep writing from your heart that is what makes a writer, right. Great Job.

I think in the name of liberty rather than "for lberty would flow better.
This is both a strong and very gentle submission and very timely/ Tomorrow, in Canada at least, it is Remberance Day. At the 11th hour on the 11th day in the 11th month the nation stops for two minutes to honour our fallen.
Great poetry.
