Wow, this was so touching and sad. I know how that heartache is, yet the cemetary never held much comfort for me. It was seeing him in the children that held me up. Great job.

fictionwriter, once again thank you so very much.. Seeing him in the children..your husband..I am sorry for your loss...if that is the case.. yes I can relate to cemetaries holding not much comfort, but it was a way of facing the grief..again thank you..jlsavell

This is such a good poem.
I am kind of jealous because I have NEVER been able to write poetry and have it make sense. More times than not it would just be a string of words that rhymed.

This is an extremely emotional poem. The draw on the emotions are strong with vivid images. The choice of words is heartrending and brings a tear to your eye. Well written and a thought provoking poem. Good job!

Loved this. It meant a lot to me personally. I was a young bride who lost a husband during the Vietnam Era, so this poem was close to my heart in many ways. I've never written a poem about my loss, and this echoed my thoughts. Very well done.

This is an exceptional poem about a widow's grief. I enjoyed reading it and couldn't find anything to criticize. I really like the way you set off the woman's short prayers with a different font size. This device works well.
