I thought this was going to be about something completely different! But you did a great job and I so enjoy reading your poems.
What good is a man to himself when soul is indeed denied?
Great job

A rather deep question that could have any number of answers depending on
ones point of view. Definitely a thought provoking verse. Thank you for sharing.
Smiles to you, Robin :)

I see no glaring grammatical errors, or misspellings, and I certainly cannot debate any part of the meaning of this,
so here are the customary five stars.

Hello there~!
These are some really stirring lines. Has forced me to sit and think about it, and a lot of thoughts are flooding my mind right now.
The last line in the stanza about the well-being of man was the most striking to me.
Well Done!
JazakAllah Khair~!
(God Bless~!)

Effective use of question in your opening line to draw the reader in
I'm not sure what the message is, what "man" has done in order to have his soul denied. What has he done that is lacking in self preservation? What actions has he misunderstood? I'm just not sure what man has done to end up in this bad place. Brooke

This is an excellent poem. Indeed what good is a man when his soul is denied? How is a soul denied? Through misunderstanding? Through waste of the of the mind? What good is man when he denies his potential to create works of beauty for his fellow man. Your artwork portrays a soul lost in a sea of despair.s I know the feeling that makes a man ask, "What good am I?"

Effective use of t he question
What good is a man makes the reader start to think .
Man is nothing without his self esteem, nothing withou his belief in God. Thought provoking with the perfect complimentary picture

Again, very romantic in style and language. This however, was stark an had a tinge of desperation for the questions you pose, to be answered. I liked the escription of man and how the tings he feels are as you siad, lost in translation. Nicely done.

Hi deepwater - My first thought when reading this thought provoking verse - in answer to your question 'what good is a man' is no good at all. If his soul is denied, his heart sacrificed, his mind lost and his well being destroyed there is very little, if anything, left. A good read - kind regards Dorothy
