Great thoughts on life and being able to come to trms with it in your own skin. I think the free-verse really allows you to express these thoughts in a much more powerful way. Good piece.

The photo compliments the piece well as the words bring the photo to life. Good alliteration with far/from...lust/love...survive/see...lived/life. Good thought provoking message that hold my attention from start to finish.

There is a lot said here about sacrifice and pushing the envelope of life. Knowing friends and cherishing the rich nature of that relationship is included in your poem of endurance. I like this one.

As I look down the farthest side of my life with age,
Love that line.
We don't get a second time around, to do things differently, so while we are here, it's a good idea to pull out the positives and eliminate the negatives. It is what it is, and was what it was, and hopefully we can extract the good.

This is a great poem. You explain life exactly the way it is. There are not many people who can say that they lived their life the way they chose. Bill

your well chosen words and images portray to the reader that your life's journey even with its ups and downs
you are content with what has been lived and learnt along the way
flows well easy read

This another nice poem. I like the connection with the sea and the search for inner peace. I enjoyed your lines, "To experience lust, love, anger, tears and pain Only to survive to see another moonlit night alone, Then will you be at peace with yourself And to be able to say, I am my best friend," I like the concept of solitude with satisfaction.

well Deepwater , we all have a quest in life, something we are searching for, your quest seems to be to create beautiful writing, can I just say that you are succeding'

Hi. I do not usually copy and paste....but the below lines sing to my heart...they are so clear and so true.
Only to survive to see another moonlit night alone,
Then will you be at peace with yourself
And to be able to say, I am my best friend,
The poem has such a nice cadence and flows so well, that these lines light up and give me a hope, that one day, one day, i will hold these true in my life...
