You must be a saint. If she did that to me and I got news she had cancer, I'd be happy. I liked how the beginning drew me in, and just as I was about to stop reading, I came to the abuse part and it got interesting again. Guess it's unfortunate that memoir is based on true life events. Very heart felt. It was a surprise ending of loving kindness. Time just buries old wounds.

This is heartwrenching. We never know what's going to happen. Its hard, so very hard getting over a betrayal such as the one you went through, but love conquers all. I know, I have been there, have forgiven and even though there are some regrets, that person is your friend, that doesn't change.
