Comment from Dom G Robles
The poem is full of emotions of love. The many questions brought out by the writer, in sum, is very idealistic and may not be able to be followed or answered in the positive. Such a positive answer would not stand the test of time. Too many lovers would fail because of so many factors. As in this country where there is a lot of separation and divorce the author's desire to achieve (perhaps) positive answers are extremely impossible. The statistics show. But while many others fail, still a few could make it up to the end--"through thick and thin"--"thunder and lighning" but the great majority I think, would fail. The questions and expressions are beautiful--appealing to the senses and touching to the spirit and to the soul. I wish I could find someone true to the very end. Dom

How many hearts have you melted with this? Very romantic, and soulful. You had me rooting for you the entire poem, and ended on a queery. One of the best poems I've read so far. Great work.

You have beautiful imagery in this piece. I like that line, "Like ripples betraying still waters." Great work! I didn't notice any spags.

I thought that this was a very interesting poem. It was a good free-verse and communicates its meaning effectively. The wind blows whether we want it to or not, so do changes come.

There is emotion and imagery in this understated poem. It sees love as the ebb and flow of the ocean. And the subject expresses his questions for a future or present lover. It leaves enough unsaid for readers to take away their own meaning. Best wishes, Hector

This is very lovely heartfelt free verse. I enjoyed reading it, deepwater. I can't think of a thing that would improve this. Most of us hope that our love will last through time and trials, and you have expressed this well. Here the questions are thrown out to be answered in uprightness or betrayal.

deepwater, such a sad poem of the uncertainty of being truly loved, so full of beautiful vivid imagery. Although it's a free form verse it flows with a gentle cadence, very rhythmically. The artwork selected is a perfect match for the pensive tone in the poem. Very well done. If I had a six star available to award it would be yours - I really enjoyed this piece. Amarillys

very beautiful poem...it is truly something to cherish...how we deal with unrequited love...and something that we have all gone through...you should not feel unworthy...even if you do not have that love...steffy
