That was absolutely beautiful my friend, I hope there are some on here who still have 6 stars to give it. I can imaging it being sung in church, the acoustics would be fabulous and a joy to listen to. Well done, my friend. :) Sandra xsx

Hi Roy, so a lyric writer and a singer eh, your talents are endless, this is beautifully composed with wonderful words, but I do think you should have been fair and put the singing version on here lol!

I don't know how Eric, I've lost the original recording, it was a single, I've still got albums and most single recordings, but not that one, my daughter was best for recording this one, she is a superb alto singer! Thank you for wonderful review, my friend blessings, Roy.

You are very welcome my friend, shame about the record though!

Hi, Roy.
You are a very accomplished writer in meter (a minority on site, unfortunately), but as this is a song lyric, where the words are emphasised with the chords or feelings, I don't think meter is important, so I won't comment on that aspect, though the words still have a lyrical flow and feeling to them.
I must admit I've never been privilege to these either factual or written in metaphor fabulous dreamy experiences, but they are sure uplifting, my friend.
Nice one.
Best wishes, Ray

Thanks Ray, you're right about the meter, it's true the chords, in this case, are in front of the beat, sometimes the vowel sounds are shortened and lengthened depending on subsequent melody, thanks for the gracious review, my friend, blessings, Roy.

Thank YOU for your 'gracious' reply, Roy.
I bought a Spanish guitar some years ago and tried my hand at song-writing after perfecting about THREE cords - and I could still only strum and not pick.
I eventually gave the guitar to my daughter, but a recent plan of mine is to buy another one and put more effort into it this time. If nothing else, it will annoy my grumpy neighbours. LOL.
Cheers, mate. Ray.

You probably need a few minor chords and 7ths and a decent capo to get the correct pitch for the song,I wrote some with the keyboard, but mostly voice and guitar, with variations on chord patterns for melody, there are other things such as time signatures, such as 4/4 3/4, and rhythm is important, you don't necessarily need to pick to get a nice song, but have a go, it's very rewarding, Ray, you'll learn. blessings, Roy.

or waltzed upon with the flowers in the wild?

Roy,
This is another lovely offering to the book of hymns! I love your praise and worship songs. They are simply beautiful. This is from the book of Job, I'm assuming?
Great work!

Thanks Robyn for this great review, this one is mostly my own perceptions, inspired by psalms mainly, thanks again, blessings, Roy.

It sounds just like the discussion between God and Job -- it's cool.
-
Yes there is some wonderful dialogue and subsequent cross examination by God, saying "where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? "After that commences the most delicious dialogue."
Yes you're right, Robyn, "lean not unto your own understanding" the song does relate to that conversation, and yet God supported Job. So He doesn't do it because we're smart, wow, blessings, Roy.

Yep! Just a good thing God loves us, huh?
Thanks for this one!

Yep you're right, I guess that's what unconditional means.
