OK. This is a Fabulous Free Verse so no meter writing is required. You are off the hook.
This is a very deep verse. I think you mean that we should surrender to our spirit and let it guide us. I like the following lines:
Then, drink deeply
from the calm waters
of your lifestream
and live into your
fullest and highest abilities.
This is why I'm learning how to write poetry.

This is a well written poem with an excellent message to those of us who are bound by material things or stuck in our own dogmas and not exploring paths that will lead to other views.

Interesting how you started and ended with that quote. I never read "Sacred Contracts." It sounds like it explores spirituality in an ecumenical manner. Was it a good book? What did you think? I guess you gave us a good summary in your poem.

Yes I have found that the book provided much incite onto paths to help one go deep into the philosophy of what our reason for our Beingness. Caroline Myss has written many sound books about our faith and journey on this earth plane.

There's a Christian song that was used many times when I was a young Christian called "I surrender all" at least the message was a really good one and the theme is still as fresh as it was then, God once responded to a question I proffered to Him. I asked,"What do you want me to do?" The reply was. "Find a hole and fill it." Two weeks later a member of the church cleaning team died, I still serve on the cleaning team, all these years down the track.Well done, great post, blessings Roy
