Lisa,
And the star shall dignify that the Child is born.
Every knee shall bow and every heart rejoyce.
Looking up I love to see-
Sparkling star of serenity.
Beautiful line- beautiful sentiment.
This was a joy to read.

Hi Mystery Poet,
I enjoyed your poem right up to that last line. I don't know what to make of it. Perhaps you're referring to the craziness of Christmas morning... the shouts, torn Christmas wrap flying through the air, everyone unwrapping a present at the very same time... ??? Or are you referring to the craziness of the world we live in? ... the disgrace over the US election, the pandemic we are dealing with, people losing their jobs, wearing these infernal masks, etc. ???
I was picturing a little girl under the Christmas tree on December 25th, and then that last line sent me for a loop. Perhaps I'm overthinking it?
Anyhow, I wish you luck in the contest.
I think I'm going to view the line this way... that Christmas celebrations of today have strayed so far away from the real reason of the day, that God came down to save us because of His great love for us. The Light that led the wise men still shines but does anyone see it?
Cheers,
Kimbob

This ultra-concise poem conveys a tremendous message. We can enjoy the fun elements of Christmas as long as we remember the reason for the
season--the birth of the Savior.

Thanks for your review. I had settled in to write a longer more complex poem, but realised I could say what I wanted to say in a more concise poem. The rest would've been mere padding.

This is a Very beautifully written poem for Christmas and the things you like. Sharing presents happily and saviours symbol of prophecy. Nicely done.

A very well-written rhyming Christmas poem about the shining star we all believe should be on the top of the tree and it means many things to believers in God and Jesus Christ.
