Carol, this really is a great book! I'm reading an audiobook at the same time, and I keep getting your plots in twined with the book I'm reading. Then I think... I want to read Carol's book instead. It's way better!
I wanted to point out some thing I noticed in an earlier chapter. I apologize for not saying it immediately, but I was at work and got distracted with customers. Anyway, a few chapters ago, Hank said some thing about faith being Mary's biological daughter. However, I do not remember him actually finding that out before then. I could be wrong, but you might want to check it out before you send this to an editor. You are sending this to an editor, right?

Thanks... when I finish the book, I will go back to the beginning and read each chapter to make sure I haven't messed up...I probably will have to get someone else to read and point out things specifically as well because my brain knows what I think I am doing, but my fingers don't always type the same thing.
Thanks as always, Carol

Speechless.... Cynthia ought to be spelled SIN-thia, the ruthless witch! Balloon loan indeed!? Not a smidgen of sympathy from me!
She's revealing too much to Michael...
That is not boding well for her or for Mason!
A reprieve for Faith? All I could think was how many terminal patients "rally" toward the end...
Annie! Oh now they've gone too far!
Hmmm. Land Rover. Where was that car a few chapters ago and who was the driver!?
Excuse me, I've got to skim back a bit!

Yes...people rally before they die, but miracles do happen too. I haven't the slightest (of course I am bouncing around ideas) as to how Faith's life will go.

Oh! Wow....You mean I can hope Faith at least goes into remission? La-DEE-DAH! THAT would be sweeeeet!

Carol,
Yup. I knew you would do it. But you better not hurt that little girl. Oh, my. What are you gonna get up to, now?????
A note:
Faith felt well enough to sit in on the sofa near the window.
--> delete 'in'
Ugh. This will keep me up -- BUT I may even be able to read through to the end of this part? That would be awesome!
Moving forward -

Robyn... I never expected to find you still reading on my next page of reviews. You are absolutely awesome. I'm thrilled the story has caught your interest that much. Thanks for catching the mistakes, and I will get back and fix them. Smiles, Carol

Good story with lots of action and suspense. Occasionally I notice some of your descriptions could be better. ". . . words swirled inside Michael's head." Wouldn't they stick there, arousing his suspicions? ". . . legs scrambled up ladder." Sounds like legs went without her. The little girls long legs helped her scramble quickly up the ladder. Going to try to read all the chapters you have up tonight to pick up on what's happening as I've missed much of this.

I thank you for the review and your time. My apoligies for being so far behind on answering everyone. It was a busy weekend for me (and one I am thankful for, of course) but I can't neglect my friends and their thoughtfulness as well. You flatter me so much with your kindness.

Oh, no! Who is the beast who kidnapped Annie? What a frightening development.
So much happened in this chapter, but it's hard to focus on anything but that. We see how cagey and desperate Cynthia is, and how Michael is increasingly dismayed by her behavior.
Errors and suggestions:
"Right now, lady. Get Sebastian and get inside."
-->
"Right now, young lady. Get Sebastian and get inside."
lives in a secret cottage with her daughter, Annie, Sebastion, and Mary.

Poor Sebastian tried to defend Annie against the threat, but I think he inadvertently led her right into his trap, and then the pup got pepper-sprayed for his bravery.

I think I am getting caught up as well and that's good because they say anothe storm is on it's way. Ugh! We are either blistering hot or storming... and my internet is wacko!
Thanks so much for all your help and suggestions and for continuing to read...though you did confuse me with going back and forth between chapters. LOL As long as you enjoyed, I'm good.
Smiles, Carol

You're very welcome, dear Carol. Yes, the weather here in NYC has been frequently unpleasant, as well.
Sorry my skipping between chapters has confused you -- tried to catch the promotions, then played catchup. Imagine how confused I got sometimes, lol. I don't think I skipped any at this point, but I'd have to go back and check! May God bless you and your writing. Love, Mary Kay xoxo

Woops, wrote that too soon -- I missed chapter 30!

I love a story with twists and turns. I was surprised that someone had kidnapped Annie. It's hard to decide with which mystery each thing is involved in because you have so many interesting twists. Great job!

Fast action and suspense filled this chapter. You have done such an excellent job in the creation of Cynthia as the character you just want to get caught. You are so gifted in bringing your characters to life in your story.

OMG! Now what? This must have something to do with Mason, but what? I hope Mary and Faith can get some help. They need Hank and Garth! I see I have another chapter to read. I'm going now!! Superb writing as usual!! :)) Sandra xxx

Carol, I read this last night and had to sort it out in my mind before I could review it. I was surprised by Michael feeling a little compassion, and questioning Cynthia's motives. That's a good thing. But, poor little Annie is becoming a pawn in Mason's game, as is Cynthia! Wow. You must stay up all night creating this stuff in your head. lol It's got me anxious to get to the next chapter. Great job!

Kidnapping, greed and mysterious happenings have started taking place.
Umm! There is action in this chapter. I like the way you describe small things as common as starting of a vehicle! Good going!
