My favorite verses: ""How can I be a prissy, pretty, itty bitty kitty in a big city like McVitty with a big sister that calls me 'Sassy cat,' if I do not have a pretty itty bitty kitty cat hat?" Sissy asked."
This is brilliant and entertaining. You've done everything probably every reader wished they could. And you threw in some alliteration. A+

I'm glad you are feeling better i just have recently discovered a wonderful little series of videos it comes on well sometimes it's on the the i don't know film of some sort little film and it's about cat a cat that talks is so funny. It reminded me that I've always talked for my own cat like I can't comes in and I so you're so you want a little treat and then the cat says of course I want a little treat and I have been changing the voice just like that. The short clip story is so funny. it is Penny the talking cat on you tube. One of my former coworkers sends me one or two every week it's just hilarious. I know you would enjoy it.

Congratulations on your runaway win with this entertaining entry! Repetition is a proven strategy to get kids to remember, so your story is a great way to get phoneme variations noticed... as well as providing a tongue-twister challenge for parents reading this aloud to children.

I can't begin to really know how this contest would be like to try and write a story for it. Your story was like reading a tongue twister. I actually read it out loud to try it out as a tongue twister. It worked! My tongue twisted and buckled and I sat here and chuckled! Very entertaining not just for kids but this adult got a thrill out of it. LOL Good luck with the contest!

That's cute, and it certainly meets the requirements for the contest. You may have a winner. I wonder if Sissy could convince my pretty itty bitty kitties to wear their hats! For some reason they don't want to. LOL

This was definitely a challenge with the short vowel phonemes of i and a all through the story of cats and their shenanigans! The artwork is fun as is the children's tale about the kitties who want to wear hats in the city!
Thanks for posting this informational story for little children who need help with their vowel sounds!
Happy 2022!

Charming whimsy--quite a tongue-twisting tale. Delightful rhyme will surely be a hit--suggestion: print copies with outline of cat for school children to color!

Wow, loved this piece and I can hear children giggling as it's read to them. Loved your creativity and the repetition (LOL, made me want to take a breath at the end of reading it). Best wishes for a win!
