This used to be a favourite show of my children when they were growing up. I remember watching it years ago. It's certainly been a stayer! Your poem sums up the main theme very nicely in lives intertwined in life and love.
Mind you, if they don't take that wretched advertisement off with its miracle cure for Alf's wonky knees, I shall probably throw a brick at the TV one day soon.
