This does a wonderful job of summing the fears and the strong will of those who are wrongfully and senselessly being warred upon by a true tyrant. It paints a picture of those who must bear the brunt of pointless brutality. Very well written.

What a wonderful poem of the tragedies unfolding at the hands of the world's most dangerous monster... The President of the Ukraine Zelensky is beyond my words... It shows the world that there is true goodness in this world and that all is not lost. These people are shining examples of goodness. yours, di

Di thank you for your review. I am also quite impressed with the resolve of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, his people, and the boarding countries opening the doors to now 2M displaced Ukrainians.

He is a miracle on this planet... I'm praying for him and his country...

You have managed to express very eloquently the disgust that we collectively feel towards the antics of Putin and the terror that he is inflicting on the people of the Ukraine. I believe strongly that many, many Russians are losing faith and belief in Putin and his motives. Hopefully, this will more quickly facilitate an easing of the tensions. Thank you for writing this engaging piece.

Well done JLR with this story of Ukraine, and its people. I can't imagine living in a country that has to battle for their lives. Just ten days in March when history will show the world held its breath. And we still don't know what Putin will do. Thanks for sharing.

This story poem, Ten Days in March, captures the ongoing world events which have begun with the invasion by Russia into Ukraine. The world has changed and may never go back.

Bill things certainly look quite uncertain.

You wrote well here author. I can recognize this writing, and I know well the effort is real. Yes, difficult to keep up the lyricism throughout, but how well you formulated, and how well I felt the emotions, as I feel the emotions every day from the innocents of this war, bringing closer the plight of other wars that we hold from our doorsteps, without much thought. Now many are feeling and witnessing the utter destruction of war holds from a tyrant I personally think is self obsessed, nearly to madness, as one German was once in time...a timeless trait of some dictators, always madness in the eyes, full with self purpose.
Well done.
Good luck in the competition.
Best wishes,
RGstar

RG - Dear friend, I shutter to my very soul knowing all to well that this tyrant has pushed himself into a corner and like rabid animal will only get more dangerous - History has a bleak track record and I fear the worst is unfolding for Ukraine and all of Europe.

He knows the difference between Nato Country and non Nato country. He would not touch a Nato country with a bargepole. And China should also take heed. I think Cina now thinks twice of what the West can do, even without using weapons. The only fear is...neuclear weapons, and not giving the dictator run countries a platform to occupy, in range.

This is so moving and timely, and I thank you for the energy and emotion you needed to bring it onto the page and our screens. Our world needs more poets and authors like you. Well done, and I wish you great luck in the contest and beyond.

The Russo-Ukrainian War is an ongoing war primarily involving Russia and pro-Russian forces on one side, and Ukraine on the other. Conflict began in February 2014 in the wake of the Revolution of Dignity. The pictures are so disturbing to watch on television, basements full of young babies and children.

While Jesus was still alive on Earth, he warned Christians living in Jerusalem that when they saw the disgusting thing surrounding Jerusalem, they should immediately leave. Not taking the time to gather possessions, just leave and unlike Lot's wife, do not look behind you. Jesus knew that wherever the faithful escaped to, they would be taken care of. Never mind the country they were leaving behind. God owns the entire earth and he can take care of those hw loves from anywhere. Likewise, he can punish the guilty, despite their weaponry or skill at warfare no matter where they may try to later hide. I only mention this because, the Bible gives excellent advice. Sadly most of us ignore it because we do not believe that is is speaking to us or for us.

Excellent contest entry, good luck. You told the story very well of the mess that the free world finds itself in today. The big question is what will it take for us to finally take action to stop this madman? Good work.

Thank you, the world waits to see what will be next?. Very unsettling in the scope of the bigger picture for all of Europe.
