Death came upon the minister. There is nothing like unexpected funerals, but I think he just had one for himself. Was he a ghost being he disappeared suddenly?

I like this story a lot. It doesn't strike me as sad though because I want him to finally get to be with everyone else... assuming they've all gone to "a better place." It certainly gives food for thought! Thanks!

Sadly, many congregations are losing members to old age. Sadder still, young people are foregoing traditional worship. I'm probably being picky, but 'the circle of life' implies fresh blood replacing those who pass. What the good reverend experienced was a rend in the circle of life.

An interesting post, as his awareness of the circle of life increased, he himself was moving on to join those who had already left that circle of life, rejoining those he had served. Best wishes for the contest.
