Virtual six for the beloved Queen of Hearts. She was so full of devotion, love and grace. I deeply feel her absence. Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest,
Sal :))

Thank you, Sally!
Comment from Gloria ....
Great artwork and a fine naani. The Queen was ever present through most of our lives, and her self-sacrifice and dedication to service and duty is second to none.
Very well done and great luck to you in the voting booth.

I am delighted by everything in this poem. The choice of the playing card queen of hearts spliced with the King, your font choice, and your words. Lovely job of this whole piece.

Michaela, thank you for your supportive validation on this Naani.

Yes, the world observed and respected the life and faith, and selfless service of the Queen, and she has now entered her eternal rest. I like the way you incorporated the words of the National Anthem, and the image is cleverly done. Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

A topical Naani, one of respect to the late monarch, who devoted her life to service for seventy plus years.
Clever card there, Queen/King.
And now we see how Charles III handles his reign!

You are so right about Queen Elizabeth II. She was such an exemplary person for all of us. She served her kingdom all the way to the end of her long life of 96.
I found cursive is hard to read.
Good luck.

Your contest entry looks perfect - the syllable count is spot on and the topic is both human and current.
It IS a lesson we should all take into account and accept as a challenge.
Blessings and best in the contest,
Deb

Well done poet. Using the Queen of Hearts was a clever move for your Naani. Never has a Queen been so loved, adored from afar. All around the world they came. Three million people, just to say farewell Elizabeth. K XX

Well said !!
This is a universal time of mourning, for the Queen's death, but also for the woman she was.
No matter your political affliction or monarchy acceptance, she was in the end a woman.
One who honored her duty, and family, protected her country, and inspired millions of people through her grace and perseverance.
Great post.

powerful, short Naani poem about the queen, and her last days. and what does the end of her life mean for the world and the queen's role in the world.
