I think you had a great, tense scene here with the quiet lawyer challenging the rapist and the dialogue was charged with measured animosity. It was pretty graphic and that tilted our sympathies to the women on one hand and clearly defined the man and his ridiculous offer as the antagonist. The lawyer seems able to put the screws on him. Great handling of the dialogue, as always. estory

A great portion of a chapter. I loved the way Alexandra kicked ass in the meeting and had the men off-balance from the start. A really well-written partial chapter. Well done.

It sounds like Alexandra is a force not to be reckoned with. DNA has changed the way police investigations are done...it really helps.
I was an advocate of rape victims for two years. It was rewarding work but very hard.

Wow, Alexandra can be forceful when she wants to be! And with the help of DNA proof, these kinds of sexual crimes are much easier to prove. Great job with this post!

Wow! This chapter is really substantial. Alexandra is sure an intelligent lawyer; I guess the New York lawyer will blossom and shine in this chapter. She is no dumbbell and she knows it!

I enjoyed your courtroom action with the interchange between the lawyer and Rogers. I was surprised that his attorney never objected to his outburst, but then that would have spoiled the exchange. Great job.

This didn't seem long if you were worried about that. You did a good job of writing the attorney procedure as I am sure they go. Pat Rogers comes off as the perfect bastard that he is.
