I found this work very intriguing as each morning over the past 28 days I looked out over the ocean from my balcony and taken in the reflections of the sun off the water. No two days have been the same. But each day reminds me of something else in the past. Some quite clearly, others a bit muddled. A nice read.

I enjoyed the read of this poem. I feel reflections are wonderful memories
of our journey and as the author states time fades the reflection. Yet, I
feel our reflections are filled with meaning as we reflect back. The poem
flows and connects well. The artwork is awesome and goes so well with
the words of this poem. Hope you are doing well.....Maria

Here's a scary thought. A hundred years after you have passed, how's that reflection gonna look? Once we are dead and everyone who knew us is dead, will we even be remembered?
I call this type of poem a 'thinker' cause they brush the cobwebs out of the old cranium. Nice work!

You did a great job with the prompt the club gave you. There is no doubt that it is about reflections. The artwork you chose was perfect, too. I wish you the best with your club entry.

Liked your description of the ways that time acts on our memories. At our age, we have many more years to look back on than to look forward to, so it is natural (To me) that some things fade, others remain, and some memories are still picture-perfect.
This is a great community, with many talented people, and many nice people, expressing their ideas and interpretations of who and where we are, and where we may be going.
Like your picture of the tree growing in the rock. We have a Juniper small tree growing on a huge boulder, right in the middle of the Big Horn River.
Good work,
irish

I liked the honest, personal language here, it was like listening in to you talking to yourself. The poignant images of fading pictures, sunsets and ephemeral clouds really underscored your theme of fading memories, precious moments slipping through our fingers. There's this great sad feeling of trying to hold on to these moments and watching them blow away on the breeze. estory

I believe the act of reflecting helps to keep our memories alive. The best don't fade with the years even when our abilities of recall begin to fail us. You've written a beautiful verse on this subject.

This free verse, Time and Reflection, provides the time within its revelation to analyze those feelings that seem diminished and realize that they are still powerful and significant, though distant in time. Neat.
I found this: ...(lose) their rich...)
Happy day.

Interesting and well written post. Reflection in its intimate and in a broader sense seems to meet at some point in time. There is an abstract nuance throughout which adds colour to the work.
Well done
