A fun write and I hope that never happens to me! I have a basement and always forget to take my phone when I go down there and one day I shall regret it! Love Dolly x

you know, there's sense in wearing one of those phone pouches around one's neck when at home alone, but who wants to do it?
thanks for reading.

This piece was so damaging. I felt so bad for the one who had fallen and there with no help in sight. Then to find yourself at the gates with more stairs to climb. I got a laugh.

Excellent entry for the 50 Word Story writing prompt contest. That was a roller-coaster...sad and funny ending.
The story grabbed my interest. The dialogue is believable. And the characters seem real. I would you recommend it.

I laughed at this. Is it really heaven if there are stairs??? I'm not old; I'm just fat.
Thank you so much for sharing this bit of humor, and best wishes to you.

I got a laugh out of your humor. Yes, we never know when the time will come or what we can expect until we get there. The internal dialogue of the character works well. Love the ending. When you just broke your hip, stairs don't looks so fun.

Hmm, well I think the demographic of Fanstory will like this, for obvious reasons. I think the narration were thoughts and not spoken out loud until the ending. Nothing sacrilegious to me.
Good luck in the contest.

Even in heaven there are stairs and irony. Ha! However, it seems like anyone who gets beyond the pearly gates would be able to over come any heavenly challenge. Have no fear. Feel no pain. Be whole. Just saying. I am kidding you, I did not find this sadistic or sacrilegious and it did make me smile. The humor is in the irony, that no matter how big your challenge is, the next one is always bigger and you may not know it, but you can always overcome. It's hopeful humor in my opinion.
