Well, sounds like good advice. You could start a YouTube channel and I'm sure you'd have subscribers for would be writers. But the real advice is to just keep writing and I find the world is full of interesting inspiration. I think the "writer's block" comes when we overthink something.

Whether this works or not I enjoyed the lighthearted tone of this advice for us writers. The Crap, Poop, Balls, Swill started a fun read and you carried it all through.
Harry Potter role-(p)laying?game

Yeah, sometimes these pieces can be a bit dry and preachy! Much appreciated. G

Loved the personality and humor and wit in this post. You take the persona of a crook and give some startling advice that has to do with plagarism, identity theft and unlooked for magic. Surprise and mischief. I loved how you fit it into this advice column format too. A great tongue in cheek look at writer's block and how to break it. estory

I have a week till I start my course, so I can do a little editing while waiting. That's great advice - I have used the first two of these suggestions at various times. As for using a library - well, my local library is like a cat flap on a fish tank - no use to anyone. I don't think they have added a new book to their collection this century. I try to avoid theft as it is too easy to copy something you have read.
What I tend to do is stare at a blank page and then write the first sentence that pops into my ancient brain. I did this for my last entry "Writing Error" and it worked quite well. That doesn't always happen!
Maybe you could give advice on selecting a title for a story. I sometimes agonise for weeks over that. Cheers.

Titles are something that most folk on the site don't seem to think matter but they really do.
I sometimes just sit and write whatever pops into my head. Sometimes just a paragraph but I keep everything! You never know. Many thanks, Malcolm. G

This was fun. I like the idea of identity theft.
(I have a box full of love letters from the 50s that I bought at an auction.)
I've been stuck my share of times and it's not a happy place!
Thanks for the entertainment.

Great tongue firmly embedded in the cheek stuff G, I think we've all been to the incredibly feeble writing phase, and wondered how on earth we wrote anything that was reasonable, I've even been caught reading something reasonable, and at the bottom of the page is my name! Beautifully written My friend, blessings Roy

I love the great advice interspersed with humor. We all need a push to get better and you've offered some solutions that can help.
I wonder did you mean Harry Potter role-playing instead of laying?

Thank you for the gremlingly advice.
I will always cherish it.
And I sent it (gremlin) to my daughter who plays D&D who is sure to complain.
(She already knows everything). :-))Z.

As always, you entertain with your writing, and sometimes teach. You did both here. The identity theft had me laughing that you hide it all somewhere else. Good advice throughout. I'm keeping this.
