Lol Just where do you get all that imagination from???!!! I must admit to a bit of speed reading towards the end, as it started to do my head in - I am not into sci-fi. (So I did well to get that far!) I think it would have an excellent chance in the sci-fi contest, I can't think of anything much more imaginative and sci-fi-ish, so very best wishes!

Thank you. I put the warning in front just for you - offering you an out. (smiley face here) But thank you for muscling through it.

Thank you. I did wonder if that was so. Lol. Sci- fi fans will love your story.

I'm not sure Mendeleev would approve of this story without at least a nod to his invention. Of course, I have no idea of the timeframe of the story. I felt like the storyline was going in many directions from the beginning. It's fun to give personalities to the periodic elements. But the teamwork between Ohmie and May is always well done. Best wishes in the contest.
What is steroidal stachotomy?

Thank you for the catch (faint).
And thank you for the Mendeleev reference. I will, indeed, pay him tribute.
Steroidal strachotomy is Ohmie for strong resonance. (smiley face here)
Thank you again.

That is quite a story. I wouldn't dare try to compete, by entering that contest. I get the feeling you've written an Ohmie story before. I'll bet it took a while to write this one. I'm not scientific minded enough have attempted it. May has parents who try to clip her wings, but nothing was mentioned of Ohmie having any. At any rate, I'm glad to know the aliens are on their way home and our planet has been saved for a little while longer. I'm glad Ohmie descent was slowed the point he didn't break his neck entering the horse trough. May didn't have to reassemble him. A towel and warm robe was all it took. Well-written. You shouldn't have much competition with your entry.

lol. Thank you.
Yes, there are about 85 Ohmie stories posted. Some are set in prehistoric times, but many are as a modern kid. Some are as an adult.
Bless you for the six stars!

Very long chapter indeed, as announced. I enjoyed the originality of the premise and plot, the chemistry part is a bit too technical for my taste, though I was quite good at that and periodic table/atoms etc in high school. It might not be too clear to understand by readers who have no clue about Tritium and its half-life, and its destructive capability, etc... but overall, I must say that the text is fluid, and crystal clear in the way it exposes it's idea.
Very well done!

Although mum knew she might regret it she let may play freedom. She might not like letting her play with this miscreant boy, Ohmie.
Fancy May driving an old truck, how risky is that? The adventures cause them to meet a stranger called Silver with a friend balled Mercury, and an expensive substance called tritium. I've always wondered how we'll eventually overcome the reason to use fossil fuels, now I know, well done Wayne, blessings Roy

The six stars are for your creativity. Sci-Fi is not usually my thing, but I was entranced from beginning to end. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Thank you! I worried that it would be a bit thick.
And thank you immensely for the six stars!
