Quite honestly when I die and I'm in my casket and they're having a funeral for me I hope that the people in the audience will be able to laugh and do it because they truly believe that I was a funny person. Patricia

Why does it always seem almost natural to find something to chuckle at at a funeral? I went to one as a child and was amused that I could see up the corpse's nose.

Debra, dear, that is a very honest, natural reaction that so many people hide, and or deny, and I am delighted that you feel justified and comfortable in saying it. In today's world where so masny people are so sensitive they have to change pronouns, and everybody has to pass a course in school, etc etc., bravo for a refreshing air of honesty! and humor!

Loved this poem as it's so relatable. And it's true even the cantankerous ones are eulogized beautifully at their memorial services. Even the ones who bore the brunt of complaints can sincerely care.

It's not often one will see peals of laughter at a funeral Debra, but at least these days they've changed the theme somewhat by calling it a celebration, than a mourning wake, well done, blessings Roy
