This was fantastic! You had me laughing many times here as I envisioned the mayor making his rounds trying to hide his disgust. No wonder you're a recognized writer! I loved this, keep it up! Ahh! I accidentally hit something on my phone and it sent it before I was done. I was going to say that each character had so much personality, even though some had few lines. Your descriptions of them summed them up perfectly, so it was easy to picture it all playing out. I?m taking notes, because I would love to learn how to write a good short story. You?ve got it down!

I loved this story! I also loved deviled eggs. Your post made me yearn for those my mom used to make. I do a pretty good job but my mother's was far and above mine. Wonderful, unforgettable story woven around an incident that seems so insignificant. There is (was) a magazine called Country Woman. You might check them out on the newsstand. This is their kind of story although it isn't exactly "country".

This story was both funny and touching and highly entertaining. Well done gal! I happen to love deviled eggs myself. I'm usually the one who makes them in my house. A little mayo, mustard and a shot of vinegar and if I'm feeling festive, a sprinkle of paprika. I really loved this story. Keep up the good work.

Now I want deviled eggs. This is a delightful and creative story about deviled eggs that would make anyone want to either make them, or eat them. However, I can't imagine having to taste 20 different eggs. Great story with lots of description and realistic dialogue. Thanks for posting.
