I love monoku poetry. It has become one of my favorites this year. A stunning offering in one line haiku, Debra dear.

Sending you my best today as always and best for the challenge.

I love that about the brilliantly colored tulips. They can really cheer up a gray day and we have lots of rain here so it's often overcast but the tulip fields are brilliant. Nice one-line haiku!

Thanks so much, Helen :) I love tulips, they are so cheery. We've had loads in our garden but the heavy rain this week has battered them.

Hello, Debra,
thank you for participating in the one-line haiku club event. Great entry with a good syllable count. Beautiful presentation and imagery.

Good job,

-Nice image and presentation, Debra.
-You did a good job with the one line haiku.
-Effective color and nature imagery.
-You create a good word picture of the tulips
and "defying the grey" is a good "aha" moment.
-Well done and one more to go!!! YAY!!!

Flowers are the symbol of so many things, and although I'm not sure of what the tulip is precisely, it's a much prized, and fondly admired flower, there is a marvellous tulip festival in Ottawa in Canada we attended a few years, viva the tulip, well done Dbra, blessings Roy

Lovely one-liner, Debra! You do it so well, perfectly illustrating in such few words the image before you. It's a real little 'poem in your pocket' that you could take out on an overcast day to cheer yourself up! Thanks for sharing. Debbie

Glad you enjoyed this one Debbie :) We had loads of various coloured tulips in the garden but the heavy rain has battered them and they're a bit tatty looking now... Enjoy your week :)
    Best wishes, Debra x
