An excellent chapter again. He is very good to her, and looks after her very well, acknowledging her desire for independence but not giving into it while she needs care. She is slowly starting to accept the relationship.

Seth is very nicely careful of Emma's sensibilities. After she gets over being so stiff from her injuries, she could loosen up a little. Seth isn't really getting a lot of signals that she likes him a lot.

There was a lot of eating in this chapter, Barbara, I really enjoyed the chicken broth with noodles sounded very nice. I'm sure it tasted good, too. They seem to be quite comfortable in each others company now, which is a good thing. I missed last weeks chapter, Barb, I don't know how, but I read it before I started this one. Well done! :)) Sandra xx

I may have shared with you, I was told to mention food is a crowd pleaser. I noticed when I had my main character in Traffic & Traffic 2 be a chef, we got to taste different foods, yum. This could easily be the story for many readers: ""I've been on my own for nine years. At first, I ate out every night. That got old, and then I bought prepared meals. It didn't last long." I like your character development.

Well your chicken noodle soup looks quite delicious. Your story's shy little romance continues with a clear understanding between them now. Seth seems to be fussing like a mother hen but he is completely smitten isn't he? All going along nicely. Great job, Barbara! Debbie

This was a very sweet scene. You show Seth is such a considerate caregiver with Emma. And Emma admits how hard it is to accept help but she has no choice with the pain and the meds.
No wonder he made the soup so fast! Everyone calls it Insta-pot but I checked mine and it is Instant Pot.

This is an excellent chapter, Barbara. I like how the focus is on Emma and Seth, and they share a few special moments. She isn't as distant, and that is a big improvement even thought she is recovering. I am glad she is accepting Seth's help, and he is very kind and understanding. We learn that he is a pretty good cook, and they enjoy watching the baseball game until Emma drifts off to sleep. Very well done.

Comment from Loren .
I enjoyed reading this tender slice of life. The characters seem real and genuine. And yes, tenderness is shown simply by the dialogue. Yet the actions tend to give substance to the scene as well. I can't help but wonder what are the characters actually thinking. Are they hiding something. Intriguing read. Loren

This bodyguard and friend is now a nurse, and he is doing an excellent job in this role too. I like how easy you are composing the structure of your book.

They are definitely getting closer by the day. Your hero's are always rapid in their feelings for one another, this is no exception. The ever attentive male, are manly, but gentleman towards women, the women are independent, but really femininely submissive to the right man. Well done Barbara, blessings Roy
Typo: Struggle(d) to stay awake.

Thank you for sharing this kind review. I changed that sentence as I posted and still got it wrong. I hate when I do that. Thank you for the catch.
