Well written. Interesting concept. I can "see" finding the ball, maybe even catching it. But not hitting it with a bat, or throwing it in from the outfield. Or pitching, for that matter. Still, though. it makes for a good story.
Best wishes.

Thankyou, Barbara. I've been wanting to write a story on "Beep Baseball" (not this particular one) so I may use it as a stepping stone for a larger story for middle school aged boys and girls.
Thank you for your support.

Hi John,
I found your post intriguing.
As a mother of six girls, I know little of male sports or camaraderie.
Therefore it's interesting to read about this.
Blessings

This is a great subject for an educational and inspiring story. I've heard of beep baseball. I once had a coworker who taught blind golf, and talked about blind baseball. I love the realistic dialogue as the story builds, and look forward to Part two.

Lol! I love it! I actually learned about baseball for the blind from the news and I love you wrote this. This helps us see this situation through the eyes of young characters who learn about this and I'm sure they will gain new "insight" - no pun intended to being blind athletes! Great job!

About 12 years ago, I went to see a local team play the game. It was amazing.
Thanks for reading, Helen.
Now I have to work on part 2.

This is an intriguing hook for part two. Love the build up with the boys thinking they were going to find aliens. Just what is this beep baseball? How can one play blindfolded? I am eager to see.

What a great part one, beep baseball, John. Frankie, Monzo, Jose and Tate were walking when they heard a strange sound. That's when they learned of beep baseball, baseball for the blind. I was blind for four and a half years, it would have been wonderful. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n Peace!!!

It was a stupid accident, I was on a bus trip and a silly accident. One of the male student's grab my compact which shined in the side mirror, affecting me. Four years and a bit, I was at the beach and suddenly I could see. You are so welcome, John.
