Here we go again. Unprovoked violence and abuse aimed at both you and Mrs. D. I thought bringing food would be a good thing, but when evil wants to be evil nothing can stop it. There are people who delight in being angry and evil. They search for reasons. Mr. D sounds like one of those evil people. You continuously have to make decisions as to what you must do next...for yourself.

It sounds like you were willing to share free food (chicken bucket), but Mr. D was having none of it. That is to say, he wanted things his way and got violent about it soon afterward. This is kind of a cliffhanger again!

Well, this is just further proof that you need to be away from that dangerous situation. There is nothing you can do to prevent what is going to happen. Mrs. D's culture has apparently brainwashed her into believing that either she's deserving of this kind of behavior or that she has not choice but to put up with it or she can't send her husband to jail or something. Either way, this isn't going to get any better. I hope to find out you didn't stay after this incident. Great chapter gal.

The ending causes chills up my spine. I do understand, for a few years when I was too young to be married, I was married to an abuser. I was lucky I was able to get out. I did have to go into hiding for a while. He said he would hunt me down and kill me. I have now been married for 46 years to a wonderful man. This story needs to be told.

The ending causes chills up my spine. I do understand, for a few years when I was too young to be married, I was married to an abuser. I was lucky I was able to get out. I did have to go into hiding for a while. He said he would hunt me down and kill me. I have now been married for 46 years to a wonderful man. This story needs to be told.
Most of our answers are within ourselves it's a matter of finding the path. (AMEN!!)

I so appreciate your kind words I really do thank you. Honestly I don't know what it was. I always thought I was just afraid all the time. And I was running from fear and deal with. People I've not prepared for the outside world. I did a lot of stupid things. You made a lot of dumb mistakes made me who flawed human being but with a heart. Yeah was choking chickens all over the place lol! I'm kidding too! I feel passed it off to the layer once I've gone I understand it will be a very large case and there's no statute of limitations on this stuff. I appreciate so much your review is always. Once again, the reader is immediately immersed into your world through another powerfully expressed write. There are some small edits throughout. The intro could do with a proofread but in the main body: "not so fast as to (miss) the glare of Mr D's eyes.."; "spidey?"; "de-(e)scalating"; "After a while of listening (tighten text).."; Then I a(t)e.."; You've left us with another cliff-hanger, Lea. I hope not but I have a feeling if my mom had offered to let someone who had no where else to go to come and live in our house, my dad would have been throwing fits too. My dad wouldn't have been violent, but he would have been curseing mom out. My mom was like the Indian lady, and she always trying to help people. Dad was selfish and like visitors.
