Sorry but the contest does state your monostich must be on a single line. I wrote it that way to stop entries emulating Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass.
I would suggest using a smaller font or removing a word or two maybe both. Good luck.

I thought about that. To me a single line means one sentence. Maybe I'm wrong in this. I will go back in and change it though. Thank you for your review.
