Yes, in the silence of the night often there are too many thoughts going through my head, but if it is lines for a poem I very rarely remember them the next morning.

Isn't it amazing how we are inspired in our dreams. It can be a word or a sentence that we wake up with in our head, and somehow we are able to produce a poem from it. I'm glad you woke up with this one. It's lovely.

During the silence of night many of much of my novels are written. My characters come to me with what they're going to do. Not what I'm going to have them do, but what they're going to do. LOL Thank you for sharing.

Your poem flows so easily that it's a pleasure to read. Yes at night when everything's quiet our thoughts are free to roam.
I used to wake in the early hours with a poem in my head. That doesn't happen so often now.

Sometimes when one attempts to sleep thoughts run non-stop through their minds about many things, such as you said about poems and their homes.
Occasionally, those words one thinks about when they try to sleep disappear. If they can be recalled and written down, they tend to become some of the better pieces written.
Perhaps a little lost slumber is a small price to pay for those words that do make it into writing.

I can really feel your emotion in this poem. Lying there in bed, letting worries and concerns overwhelm you, and then after rest in silence, finding that gentle release that comes afterwards.

You live and breathe poetry, waking and sleeping. I actually stopped writing poetry because it made my brain too active during the night and I wasn't sleeping properly at all. Too stressful. At least you produce some good work in the morning. Well done.
