The plot continues to thicken and perhaps Sami has a great lead with her former student. I wonder what Galvin is up to, trying to run with Sami. I personally would up the distance for the charity run. Even a wimp like me can do a 5K that's only 3 miles. I think people like Sami who is athletic, could easily run a 10K which is 6 miles. Something that requires training for someone like her would be a half marathon. It's up to you as 5K would be attainable for people just participating for charities. It just wouldn't need any extra training for someone like Sami.

"days' worth" should be day's worth since meaning only one day.
Noah and Sami putting their hot-to-trots on the back burner probably a good idea.
Seems Sami has intentions of getting away from the safehouse one way or another and using her Mateo connection to do so.

Sounds like Noah has a reason to get jealous. Although I don't think Dami is the type of girl who would fall for smooth BS.
Anyways, great job on the dialogue. I think it was very realistic to the situation.

This is a very interesting twist. Noah has smoke coming out of his ears already. Sami is blooming.

Another nice chapter in Sami's journey to bring justice.
In the first part of the chapter, we see Noah and Sami exploring their relationship. They aren't ignoring the fact they have feelings for each other, but they don't want to act on them at this time. They realize the announcement of the relationship will make it harder to stay objective.
The second part of the chapter finds Sami wanting to go for a run. She asks Noah, but he's busy on a report. His boss Galvin offers to escort her instead.
In the third part of the chapter, we find Sami putting poor Galvin through his paces, only to be rescued by a much more fit Noah after a bit. Then, Sami talks Noah into letting her bathe Jasper outside his window. I think she's starting to run the show, lol.
4th section, Sami returns from bathing Jasper to overhear the men talking about needed someone undercover to help, but someone already out there, not a new person they would have to invent. Sami says she knows someone.
Section 5, enter a new man into the equation, a rich ex acquaintance of hers, perhaps an old sweetheart??? At any rate, you've pointed out that he will be important to your story. We'll have to watch for him.
