He's definitely in love with her, and is afraid to let himself tell her. It will happen though. When he thinks he's lost her, then it will hit home. Mateo is not in the picture at all with Sami. I don't seem to feel the pull. Writing that 9,000 word novella made me crazy. Nope, I could do piece novels, like a- z animal stories, The Common sense for seniors stories are good, and maybe a shortie poem book. But a straight novel is not for me. But thank you for the nice words. Karen

I'm enjoying this story. Such splendid cross-currents weaving through the dialogue. I imagine Mateo will be putting himself in grave danger if he blows the whistle as suggested by Noah.

Though I love to read, I don't usually read the stories/chapters section as I'm more of a poet and they are so time consuming. My time is already consumed with writing and reviewing the poetry as well as having a life elsewhere-LOL. But I've recently completed a couple short pieces of writing, so was scrolling through and stopped to read your entry. I enjoyed it. Your characters are interesting, your story well written and inviting further reading. Best wishes with your writing!

She goes, but is hurt because she feels Noah doesn't really share her feelings. In the end, he snuggles with her in bed to give her comfort, all above board, of course.
