Hi Gail,
This is a well done cinquain which tersely describes a day at the racetrack.
I go once or twice a summer.
Congrats on placing third in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great day.

Your cinquain poem really brings race day to life with its energetic and vivid imagery. I love how you kick things off with "place your track bets"--it immediately pulls me into the excitement of the event. The line "sleek-muscled beauties strut" perfectly captures the grace and power of the horses, making them almost come alive on the page. you build suspense from "Riders up! And they're in the gate" to the exhilarating "They're Off!" is fantastic--it really makes me feel the thrill of the race. Your poem beautifully conveys the rush and energy of race day!

I love going to the horse track. We have one close by. The sound of the horses thundering by is pure magic. Thank you for sharing your well-crafted piece.

Horses are a pretty amazing creatures, they're so beautiful, and full of wits, speeds, and muscular attractive. I feel really bad for them when they're injured because they are forced to be dead, and I felt so sorry for them. Anyway, I see your "Cinquain" poetry messages delivered all the criteria, and along with your artwork image is a great choice. I wish you all the best!

Thank you so very much! I have seen some terrible track accidents, some on horses I bet on, and the loss of a beautiful creature before its time. That's the one thing I don't like about racing. But I do love the excitement of the race.

I have been to a few races in England, Ascot being my favourite and it is exciting watching these magnificent horses strutting their stuff before the race and after, I enjoyed your poem for the contest, love Dolly x

Thanks so much! I love Ascot--I do all my research beforehand, pick my favorites, place my bets for the entire 5 days, and watch excitedly. I did pretty well this year, some nice wins. I love the horses, so beautiful to watch.

I loved the races, I liked following horses that followed other horses, that is the story of my gambling, folly remains as folly, like the fool makes the same mistake repeatedly, expecting a different result, a great post, but it's a good place to be, blessings Roy
